Titir Story

Situated near the western bank of Hiranyavati River (Sona River) in Revenue village Titira Tole Budhnagar Bangra village of Bihar, Siwan district, which is the place of birth of Lord Buddha as a Bodhisattva, according to the Jataka of Buddhist literature, Chinese pilgrim Hiuen Tsang Has also done. 1. as a bird: In ancient times this Kusinara was replaced by a very heavy dense forest. One day a huge thunderstorm occurred suddenly and the forest caught fire. At that time a bird also lived in this shalvan (forest). Seeing this terrible calamity, who was inspired by kindness and compassion, flew to a lake and dived into it and then filled it with water. Then he splashed the water on the fire. This pleased the God of Indra and his They took water in their hands and left it on fire, which calmed her down. Titir was born by the Bodhisattva itself. This place is in the village of Titira near Kisun Pur and Muiya Nagar. The Titir Stupa is built here and the name of this village is named after this stupa.

2. as a deer: The Bodhisattva has also saved the souls of animals by taking birth here as a deer. This place is also a pheasant. There is also a deer stupa and there is also a village called Hirauli (Hirauri).

3. in the form of a fish: The Bodhisattva also originated here as a fish, which is famous as the 'Moi' fish. Muia is a village on the Siwana of Tithira village. The villagers say that there was a lot of moi fish in the pool here. Due to this, this village was named Muiya. There is also a fishery diversion near the Tirti Stupa from where a small river flows and a large amount of fish is found here.

3. in the form of a tree: The Bodhisattva was also born in the form of a tree. That is why the events of his human life are also related to the trees. Birth, knowledge and nirvana under the tree. Nirvana took place under the tree in Shalavan Upavatana. The place which was near the Titir Stupa. Even today, there are dozens of villages and hamlets related to the tree, such as - Bangra, Mahuabari, Nawalpur, Malak Pur, Amavasa, Bari Tola Thepaha, Gular Baga, Akolhi, Bhaluvahin, Sishani, Selrapur, Piparahia etc.

4. as a turtle: The Bodhisattva took birth as a turtle, protecting the deer.

5. As Maharaj Kush: Kusinara was named Kushavati in earlier times. Ikshvaku (Okkak) here Raja used to rule. Raja was Bodhisattva. Today too there is village named Kisunpur.

6. Chakravarti as King Mahasudarshan: In the past, there was a Chakravarti king who conquered all the four directions named Mahasudarshan. This was the capital of Mahasudarshan named Kusinara. The Bodhisattva was born as the Chakravarti king. The third stupa and the village of Titira are also Vijayajipur city on the western border.

Gautama Buddha

Gautama Buddha was born in 563 AD in a place called Lumbani of Kapilavastu. His Mahaparinirvan was born at the age of 80 in 483 BC in 483 BC in Kusinara Siwan Bihar, near the western bank of Hiranyavati River, in the Tola Buddha Nagar Bangra of the village of Titir Stupa.

Founded

The site of the Titir Stupa and the Mahaparinirvana site was first identified in 1899 by British archaeological Veda W. Hoy. Location

Kakutha, 10 km from Siwan Headquarters and West Revenue Village Titira Tole from Hiranyavati River is located on the Siwan-Merava main road in Budhnagar Bangra village. Central to West Jiradei station and Mairwa station from Siwan railway station and east of Karchui Halt station is located west of Bangra railway mold. There is also a temple of Lord Buddha.
